Alex Hagentorn
Alex Hagentorn is a Los Angeles based artist from Pasadena,
California. He is a recent graduate of the USC School of Architecture,
and a recipient of the School's Robert Allen Rogaff Award in
architectural delineation for his final project titled 'Noscale'.
Alex was invited to show his work at the Phillip Johnson Glasshouse
Pavillion Benefit among prestigious artists such as Kaws, Richard
Serra, Chuck Arnoldi, among many others.
He has a passionate interest in space, time, and scale, and how it
relates to form and beauty. With a background in digital fabrication,
he implicates physical forms from his own subconscious, creating the
surreal landscape of an inner world. By combining both traditional
and contemporary fabrication techniques Alex is able to create
unique objects that infer both a past and a future.
He is currently working in bronze and the plastic arts, creating
wearable pieces, and a variety of sculptural objects.
